Tablet PCs are becoming well known and popular in these days in workplace or college. There are several different models of Gateway Convertible Tablet PC which offered in low prices. Their Tablet PC is offered around $1,000 while others start from $1,500. And now, let’s take a look some models of Gateway Convertible Tablet PC for reviews.
C-142XL
The C-142XL comes as Gateway’s high-end Tablet PC with Intel Core 2 Duo processor 2.4GHz, 3GB of DDR2 RAM, 250GB hard drive, ATI Mobility Radeon X2300HD graphics card, 8 x dual-layer DVD burners, Bluetooth, Ethernet, Fingerprint for security, and with gorgeous 14″ glossy screen with 1280×768 resolution.
This Tablet PC starts over 6 pounds, not a lightest notebook however. But you will get a good battery life time which last for around 4 until 5 hours.
The pros from this Gateway Convertible Tablet PC are great battery life time, have fingerprint reader, and great performance. While the cons are no support for 802.11n wireless networking, no auto-rotation for display, and said to be heavy for a tablet PC kind.

E-155C
This E-155C is Gateway’s smallest Tablet. Weighs 4.5 pounds can be a disappoint feature for Tablet user that usually take under 4 pounds.
It comes with Core 2 Duo 1.06GHz ULV processor, 1GB RAM, Intel GMA 950 as a graphic card, 12.1” screen size, Ethernet, WI-Fi, installed Vista Ultimate and complete array of ports. This tablet is completed with pen input technology with touchscreen so you can browse quickly using your fingers.
And as conclusion, the E-155C is having good features for its price and nice for its appearance. As a pros from this Gateway Tablet PC are having responsive keyboard and touchpad, completed with Wacom digitizer and touchscreen, nice design, soft palm rest, quite and cool when running it, and easy to rotate to other direction.
In other side, this Gateway Tablet has grainy screen, cannot orientate itself when rotated by user, hinge is not secure enough, and it is heavy for Tablet PC type.
S-7200c
Gateway has released this type for fit to mobile professionals and for them who more life on the road than home. You can use it as a desktop replacement with touchscreen.
This tablet PC completed with Intel Pentium M processor 1,73GHz, 40 GB hard drive, 512MB DDR2 RAM, Wi-Fi, Modem, Ethernet, complete array of ports, 12-cell of batteries and 14.1” screen size. The weight can be varied from 6.15lbs until 7.13 lbs along with the type of battery used.
This Gateway Convertible Tablet PC can make you easily connected in anywhere you happen to be. You will not need to find a power source for about 7 hours of travelling because of its long life time battery.
The only complaint from this Gateway Laptop is its hard drive. The 40GB hard drive will not quite enough to store your program and data. You would spend more to expand the hard drive or buying external hard drive.
