XBox-360 Elite (Left) vs Classic XBox-360 (Right)I was cruising around the web and came across this little tidbit regarding the XBox-360 Elite and the classic XBox-360.

From what I can tell the only thing the Elite has, is the HDMI capability, and comes standard with the HDMI Plug can be on TV's, Projectors, DVD Players, or Receivers.HDMI cable.120Gig hard drive. OH BOY!!! I have personally seen HDMI and Component Video on the exact same TV, and can honestly say the differences are slight if any at all. The only good thing about HDMI is that it is a single cable for both Video and Audio. As long as you have the proper version of HDMI. Wikipedia has a great listing about the HDMI interface here.

I will eventually get a TV (wife permitting) with HDMI instead of just setting them up for my more financially robust bosses. I could just imagine. A single cable coming from each of my components into the Receiver, and then out to the TV. Ahhhh Single cable goodness with out it just being…… well cable.

Actually I have not seen a regular XBox 360 in black. I think it was only the “Elite” that got the black treatment.

Save yourself some dough and get the regular. No need for the Elite unless you have yourself a kick ass High End HDTV and surround sound system, in which case I would say go with the Elite.

Actually the processor in the Elite and the original are EXACTLY THE SAME. If you don’t beleive me, check out this article: http://www.semiconductor.com/resources/press_releases/2007_05_01_2.asp

Sorry, but the only difference between the Elite, and original is HDMI 120Gb Hard drive, and a sexy black look to it.
